1. Create a Gentle Nighttime Unplugging Routine
Establish a consistent time each evening when you put away all digital devices. Try starting with just 30 minutes before bed and gradually increase the time. Create a soothing ritual around this, such as, enjoying a cup of herbal tea, dimming the lights, some gently stretching, or getting cozy with a good book.
Breath — Centered Morning Routine
Begin your day with a simple breathing practice before touching any device. When you first wake up, sit quietly for 5 minutes and focus on your breath. This could be as simple as taking deep, slow inhales and exhales. This helps you start the day in a more mindful and present way.
Designate Tech- Free Zones
Choose a specific area in your home or your daily routine that remains completely device free. This could be your dinner table, your bedroom, during all meals, or even on your walks. During these moments try having a conversation, listening, or simply sitting and observing your surroundings. This helps you rebuild your capacity to be comfortable with stillness.
Connect with Nature
Start small. Challenge yourself to spend at least 30 minutes, once a week outside without your phone. Leave it at home. Use this time to walk, sit outdoors, or garden. Pay attention to the sounds, textures, and sensations all around you. This practice helps to reset your nervous system and gives you a natural reset.
