I've spent my whole life learning about wellness.
Honestly, it started before I even knew what that word meant.
My parents put me on this path early, introducing our family to whole foods and the idea that what we put in our bodies matters. That stayed with me. As I grew up, got married, and became a mom, those habits followed me right into my own home. Back then, health to me was simple: eat well, feel well.
Then life took a detour that changed everything.
When my youngest daughter was just two months old, I knew something was terribly wrong. Not a cold. Not normal fussiness. A mother just knows. But my doctors kept reassuring me — told me I was overreacting, that she was fine. She wasn't fine. The nights were terrifying. A relentless, spasmodic cough. Mucus we were pulling from her tiny mouth. A 911 call. And still, we were dismissed. It was my sister-in-law who spotted a video of a baby with pertussis online and said, “that looks like her”. That call saved my daughter's life. A friend who was a pediatrician listened to me, wasted no time, and got her the treatment she desperately needed. Babies under six months can die from pertussis, the sheer exhaustion of trying to breathe. We almost lost her. Today, she is a thriving young adult, and I am forever grateful.

But that experience broke something open in me.
The anxiety and stress that followed were unlike anything I had ever known. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't stop the worry. I felt completely out of control, and completely unheard. I blamed myself endlessly. And somewhere in all of it, I disconnected from my own body.
That disconnection became my greatest teacher. I dove deep into yoga, meditation, breathwork, and nutrition, not as separate practices, but as one interconnected path back to myself. I began to understand that true health isn't just physical. It's mental, emotional, and spiritual too. And the most profound thing I discovered? The power to heal was inside me all along. I just needed to find my way back to it.
That journey is now my life's work, and it's why I created Anchored in Peace. For over two decades, I have trained extensively in these practices so I can offer them to you — whether you're struggling, searching, feeling disconnected, or simply ready to start. You deserve to feel heard, to trust yourself again, and to live your healthiest, most whole life. I'm here to help you find your way back to you.
